Help Us Support Underserved Syrian Communities

Rawasi Foundation supports community-led projects that restore dignity and opportunity to children affected by conflict and displacement.

Who We Are

At Rawasi Foundation, we work alongside underserved Syrian communities to strengthen the foundations of everyday life through education, health awareness, and emergency preparedness. We believe lasting progress begins within communities, which is why we work with locally trusted teachers, families, physicians, and volunteers to support practical initiatives shaped by real needs. Our goal is to strengthen local knowledge, confidence, and leadership so communities can rebuild stability from within.

The Reality on the Ground

Many rural Syrian communities are rebuilding after years of conflict, but families still face interrupted education, limited healthcare access, weak emergency preparedness, and few resources for long-term stability.

The Communities We Support

Our mission centers on empowering those who need it most:

  • Children in underserved Syrian communities
  • Families in rural areas
  • Local teachers and schools
  • Older students and youth leaders
  • Rural communities with limited access to healthcare and educational support
  • Communities affected by conflict, displacement, and long-term neglect

Our Current Projects

Light Of The Beginning

Our 8-week literacy and confidence program gives children more than reading skills; it restores a sense of normalcy and hope.

Beyond our literacy initiatives, we are actively launching Rawasi Day Miami and Al-Hamra Free Health Week—expanding our reach to deliver accessible healthcare and community-driven support where it’s needed most.

Meet the Team & Educators

Yaman Albittar

A University of Pennsylvania student who grew up in a Syrian village where his father was the only doctor for 20 years.
